Reparation for Sins and for the Conversion of Sinners

«Will you be willing to accept whatever God will send to you and to offer it up in reparation for sins and for the conversion of sinners?»

This was the FIRST request of Our Lady of Fatima. It was only when the children ANSWERED YES that Our Lady opened Her Immaculate Heart to them.

How can we ... hope to succeed if WE do not accept what God sends to us? Humiliation? Contradiction? Insults? Apparent Failure? Bickering ...? Unfair accusations? Ingratitude?

O QUEEN OF THE WORLD and my Queen-Mother, help me to accept all that God sends to me.

Father in heaven, we come to you with our friend, Jude Thaddeus, to thank you for the gift of life, for the gift of faith, and especially for the gift of experiencing the love of Christ at work in us. Fill us with a spitit of joyous hope as we search for your will in our lives.
We believe in your fatherly love that has constantly been our source of strength in time of trial. Help us to realize that it is through these trials we triumph by the power of him who loved us and gave his life for us.

O God, the Apostle Saint Jude Thaddeus was a faithful servant and friend of your Son and our Lord, Jesus Christ. His name has been forgotten by many because of the name of a traitor who delivered our beloved Master into the hands of his enemies. But your Church honors him and invokes his intercession universally as the patron of those in difficulty who have found no other help. Grant that through Saint Jude's intercession we may know your will for us, have the strength to do it, and enjoy the consolation of your Holy Spirit as well as your blessings in time and in eternity. Heavenly Father, may Saint Jude intercede for us in all our necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly (here make your needs known). With him and all the saints may we praise you with your Son and Holy Spirit forever. Amen.

Thou art the Mother of the Americas, the Queen of angels and of men, protectress of all who invoke thy loving intercession. Pray for us, Virgin Mother of Guadalupe, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray:
O blessed Lady, under the title of Our Lady of Guadalupe, we ask thee to make intercession for Holy Mother Church, protect the Sovereign Pontiff, help all those who invoke thee in their needs, and since thou art the ever Virgin Mary, Mother of the true God, obtain for us from thy Son the grace of keeping our faith, a fervent hope in the midst of the trials of life, and charity to love God above all things and to love the least ones of God's flock. St. Jude, glorious apostle, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you univesally as the patron of hopeless cases, and of things despaired of. Pray for me who am so miserable. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded you to bring visible and speedy help where help was almost despaired of. The Fraternity of Kindness

What a vast increase in the sum-total of human happiness it would mean if each one of us were to be always just as kind as could be. Why, earth would be almost heaven if all unkindness were eliminated from our lives... It was such thoughts as these which came to a pious nun during her meditation, and which prompted her to found the FRATERNITY OF KINDNESS. Its rules are these:

1. Not to think unkindly of others.
2. Not to speak unkindly of others, or to others.
3. Not to act unkindly towards others.

These rules imply, of course, the opposite virtues of always thinking kindly, speaking kindly, and being kind, to everyone.
There is a penalty attached to every violation of the rules, a double penalty, which consists of: (a) Saying a short prayer for the victim of our unkindness, and (b) performing some act of kindness toward that person that same day. If the latter is impracticable, a second short prayer will suffice. The prayer may be as short as "My Jesus, Mercy", or "Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make my heart like unto Thine", or as long as an "Our Father".
Simple enough, isn't it? And how easy. Of course, we shall all want to join. And how much happier we should all be for it -- we, and all those with whom we come in contact. What must one do to join? Simply make up one's mind to be a member, and begin immediately to keep the rules.
Should anyone be sufficiently enthusiastic to want to spread the Fraternity, by trying to persuade his friends to become members -- as we shall all want to do -- he will by that very fact become an "Apostle of Kindness".
The Patron and Model of the Fraternity of Kindness is the Sacred Heart of Jesus, burning with love for all mankind.
The reward for the faithful observance of the rules, is, here below to scatter sunshine broadcast wherever we go; to be beloved by our associates, and, what is more important, by the Loving Heart of our Redeemer with all that this implies; and, then one day to hear those joyous words: "Come, ye blessed of my Father; possess the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world, for ... whatsoever ye did to the least of my brethren, ye did it unto Me."

Prayer For Our Benefactors
O Father of mercy and God of all consolation! have pity on the souls in purgatory, who sigh for Thee, the Fountain of Life. Look upon the face of Thy Son, Jesus Christ, and on account of the mertis of His bitter passion deliver from their pains the souls of our Priests, parents, brothers, sisters, friends, and spiritual and temporal benefactors. Remember, merciful Father, they are Thy children. Let Thy justice be satisfied by the great sufferings they have hitherto undergone. Let Thy boundless mercy remit their remaining debt, that being soon delivered, they may forever love and praise Thee in union with all the elect. O merciful Jesus, shorten through the merits of Thy holy passion the term of their suffering; and since they are unable to discharge their debt, do Thou redeem them by the value of Thy Precious Blood, that, released from their suffering, they may rejoice forever. Amen.
Absolve, O Lord, the souls of all the faithful departed from every bond of sin, so that by Thy aid they may deserve to escape the judgment of wrath, and come to the enjoyment of beatitude in eternal ight.

Prayer to St. Joseph Cupertino for a Good Life

O glorious St. Joseph Cupertino, who in this life spoke constantly to the hearts of the faithful through heroic virtues and marvelous wonders worked by the hand of God, turn to us who implore your blessing.
Arouse in our hearts some spark of that divine love which so inflamed your soul, so that we may desire nothing more than to please God all the days of our lives. And just as you were lifted up from the earth in ecstacy on hearing the sweet names of Jesus and Mary, pray that we, too, may detach ourselves from the things of earth, realize the vanity of the world, detest our sins and obtain pardon for them.

The Broken Heart of Jesus, the Merciful Saviour

I come, not to bring terror among you; I am the God of Love, the God who forgives and wants to save you all.

My grace will work with great power on sinners who without contrition, kneel before the picture of My Broken Heart, so that they will arise converted.

I will forgive their sins, even before the absolution, to those who with a true love kiss the picture of My Broken Heart.

My glance will touch the hearts of the indifferent and will inflame them with fervour so that they will practice goodness.

An only act of love with the plea for forgiveness towards this picture will be enough for Me to open heaven to the soul which in the last hour must appear before Me.

When some refuse to believe in the truths of religion, one can put the picture of My Broken Heart in heir room (dwelling) without their knowledge. It will bring, through the wonder of grace, sudden and supernatural conversions.

On Conversion: its necessity; signs denoting it; means of preserving it

"My daughter, conversion is necessary to the sinner. God, in fact, wills not his death but his conversion. Since such is the will of God, the sinner ought to turn to God. But he ought to do so, not only for the sake of God, but also for his own sake. Without this, what will become of him? He will die in sin, he will merit the malediction of God, he will be wretched forever. He ought, then, to be converted, and quickly. What is the continuance of life to a sinner but a merciful means which God gives him that he may work out his conversion? This gift of God will not last for ever. No one knows how long it will endure. God may withdraw it any moment. And yet what do sinners say? They put it off to a later time. What is this later time of theirs? They say, 'To-morrow.' Does this to-morrow belong to them? To-morrow! and why not to-day? Is not God ready to-day? And is it not their interest to-day? Is it not madness to count on the future? Is conversion to be found in death? No; in death there will be nothing but condemnation, because there will be nothing but justice. Every day numbers of sinners are surprised by the justice of My Father. These also said, 'To-morrow, later.' On the morrow Hell opened beneath their feet. The conversion of the sinner, then, is not only necessary, but urgent, and one which must not be delayed under any pretext whatsoever.

"How is a true conversion to be recognized? As a tree has its fruits, so conversion has its acts. A proud man converted becomes humble; a covetous man becomes full of compassion for the poor and detached from his riches; a passionate man becomes calm and peaceable; a voluptuous man becomes mortified; a slothful man becomes a lover of labour. This is not saying therefore that the proud man will never sin again from pride, the covetous from avarice; and so of the rest. They may again fall because of their weakness, but they will make haste to rise. They know of the sacrament of My mercy; they will come to humle themselves before My minister, ask forgiveness of him, and, rising up stronger and more courageous, they will walk on with their eyes turned towards God. Conversion, to be real, must be sincere and from the very depth of the heart; when it proceeds from the heart and is sincere, the conversion lasts, endures, and is perfected. The sinner may still commit faults, but their number diminishes, while his acts of love for God increase every day more and more.
"I say this to you, My daughter, that you may not be discouraged: on the contrary, always have confidence and hope in My mercy, remain always turned towards Me.

"What is necessary, My daughter, in order to preserve the fruits and benefits of conversion? A great humility, a complete distrust of yourself, an utter abandonment of yourself to God; it is necessary to fight against your inclinations, against the most obstinate, and then against the others; to mortify yourself in your body, in your mind, in your heart; above all, to pray much, to go to God and show Him how miserable you are, to move His compassion for you; in fine, to approach the Sacrament of My Love. It is the sacrament of strength, the sacrament of courage, the sacrament of life, and so long as you have this you possess the fruits and benefits of conversion."

The soul that regrets her sin

"When I wish to attract a soul nearer to Me, I ask sacrifices of her. That is the mark of My predilection.
It is the sun that gives the earth its beauty and animates it.
It is My grace that gives souls their beauty and that animates them.
My Omnipotence is limited only by your liberty.
It is with coal that I make diamonds.
What whould I not do with a soul, however black she might be, who would give herself to Me!
The soul that regrets her sin and makes reparation for it gives me a greater proof of love than a soul that has avoided sin. She who has avoided it gives me in an instant a passing proof of the solidity of her love; she who regrets and makes reparation offers me repeated proofs of it. She becomes so dear to Me that I unite her to Myself. The other avoided sin because she was already united to Me..."
